General Knowledge competition at Muskaan schools

As per our regular annual ‘Muskaan’ calendar activity, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) organized general knowledge test for school children in the month of November. The competition was organized for the students of 1 to 8th standards in 10 JBF adopted schools. Total 834 students participated in the event.

Organized Essay Competition at Muskaan school

As per our regular annual muskaan calendar, JBF organized the essay competition for 10 Muskaan schools’ children in the month of November. Before commencement of essay and handwriting activity, a discussion was conducted with all teachers to collect different topics from various schools and finalized the topics. 5th 6th 7th and 8th standard students participated in the event. Total 402 children participated in the essay competition.

Pick and speak competition

JBF organized the poem recitation / reading and pick and speak competition at our 10 Muskaan schools in the month of November.

As per school committee’s suggestions, the activity was conducted for 4st to 8th standard students. Total 522 students participated in the activity.

Visit of District Director of Public instruction –(DDPI) Mysore

Mr. Pandu, District Director of Public instruction, Mysore visited Jubilant Bhartia Foundation WOW project at Nanjangud and appreciated the education activities being conducted by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation.

Organized Core Committee Meeting

As our regular practice JBF organized the core committee meeting at Geekahalli hundi school on 24/11/2023. At the above meeting 07 schools’ headmasters were present to put their views and contribute to the discussion about the Nov month activities. The requests towards providing the drawing work and development work at schools were also put forth but the schools.

Muskaan Kitaab Ghar

Muskaan Kitaab Ghar is a library set up for the govt., schools students who do not have any access to books and reading material. Through this initiative we have distributed 97 library kit in Nanjangud taluk.

It will help individuals in achieving sense of satisfaction by contributing to the society and doing social responsibility which will eventually help in creating positive impact in the society. As a gateway to knowledge and culture, libraries play a fundamental role in the society. To cater to the same vision, this initiative aims to reach 140 schools in 1 year.

Fare well to Mrs. Umadevi, Kallahalli school, Head Mistress

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and Muskaan committees organized a farewell ceremony on 24/11/2023 to honour contributions of Mrs. Umadevi, Head Mistress of Govt. Higher Primary school, Kallahalli school. The function began at 3.30 PM, with a prayer by school children. Our Muskaan school core committee coordinators and members also participated and expressed their deep love and gratitude for the teachers for their teaching and service. In her period, she made noteworthy development in school environment. The program came to an end at about 4.00 PM.

Health

JUBICARE project

Health is wealth for all!

During the pandemic of Covid -19, everyone has realized that health is needed for all. Hence Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has started and launched the Jubicare (Health) project. (Telemedicine app). Through this JUBICARE Project JBF provides health services like door delivery of medicines to patients’ house with safety measures. In the month of November total no of beneficiaries is 1148.

Organized Nutrition awareness program at UGHPS

In order to remove malnourishment and create awareness among the society Jubilant Bhartia foundation has started nutrition awareness program. The official inauguration was conducted at UGHPS Debur on 6th of November 2023. Mr Sajjan Rao, Bogade, Block Education Officer, Nanjangud. Mr. Nagesh Superintendent of Grama arogya Nanjangud, Dr. Sripathi V Aithal, Chief Medical officer, Jubilant Pharmova limited. Mrs.Nagaratnamma, Health worker –Debur Panchayath, Mrs.Shivamma, Incharge, Head Mistress UGHPS Debur Mr. Ravikumar Physical Education teacher, Mr. Deepak .S Manager–CSR, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J Assistant Manager –CSR ,Ms.Sindhura BN Staff Nurse-JBF ,Mr.Siddharth, Interns, JSS College, Mysore and Ms.Rachanna, Interns, JSS College were present at the event.

Doctors explained regarding balanced diet and its importance and also gave the information to women and mother how to prepare nutrition food, how to use food grains Etc……Total 75 students attended the program.

Back ground: There is a need for increased awareness of the importance of good nutrition among the general public, especially in rural areas. There is also a need to address the issue of food insecurity and to provide people with the resources they need to access healthy food.

By improving understanding on nutrition among students and communities, we can help to improve health indicators and create a healthier future for all. To make this programme a success, JBF will engage college youths as interns in this programme. The interns will be a primary driver of program. While the Children’s, Mothers & Communities will be benefitting from awareness. Through this project we are covering 20 schools and 15 anganawadi centre. Total beneficiaries are 722.

Hand wash day awareness program

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation is organising Health Awareness camp at Surrounding villages of its plant location, so in the month of November JBF has organized World Hand wash day at Govt., HPS Chamalapuradahundi on 3rd Nov 2023.During the program JBFMC team as explained Importance of Handwash and types of Handwash to the school children, During the Awareness program Dr. Tejas Chandra, Community medical officer –JBF, Mrs. Sindhura BN, staff nurse –JBF. Mr. Deepak. S Manager- Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi, Assistant Manager, Mr. Vinay Raje urs, Field officer-CSR, school teachers and 75 students were present in the program.

Farmers meeting

Agriculture is the backbone of Indian economy, in order to support agriculture Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has started JUBI FARM Project. Through this project we are planning to start to distribute fruit and Moringa saplings to each farmer at free of cost, so later when the plant starts growing fruits it will be a source of income to the farmers for their livelihood and it will be a greater contribution by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation to environment (Nature).

Skill Development & Vocational Training Centre, Nanjangud

In the year 2008, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation as started skill Development and Vocational Training centre at Nanjangud. Through this training center we train the candidates in various trades like computer courses (like basic computer, tally, DTP, Kannada typing, internet etc.) Tailoring, Kuchhu, soap oil phenyl training etc., there were 105 admissions in the month of November 2023.
