Use Company Assets Considerately

An organisation provides its employees with various assets to help them perform their roles and responsibilities in an effective manner. These are shared assets used by a large number of employee base and aim to make work smooth, fast and of top quality.
Employees including senior management are expected to use company property and assets (both infrastructural and manpower) appropriately and within the scope of their employment. Misusing company assets for their own personal benefit is against the Company policy.
Misuse of assets in an organization happens more commonly than perceived.
Even small instances which are considered trifling can be considered theft when it comes to Company policy. When the employees of an organisation ignore the misuse of business property and assets, it can significantly affect a business's performance over a period of time and also add to a culture where it's a norm. Some of the losses a Company can experience via the misuse of company assets also involve employees misusing Company funds for personal use. This can also adversely affect a company's reputation, become an obligation for the Company and cause legal repercussions too. This also creates a breach of trust between them and the employer.
Shared responsibility: It is the shared responsibility of the employees to safeguard company assets and ensure their efficient use. One must take care to avoid damage, theft, unauthorized or improper use and waste of company assets. All company assets should be used for legitimate business purposes only.
It is also the onus of employees and the company to together spread awareness on the subject so as to stop building of a collective culture where theft is not seen as wrongdoing. Small acts of misuse add to bigger cumulative losses and also leads to erosion of brand name.
Awareness emailers under the code of conduct campaign are circulated regularly to make employee cognizant of their duties and rights towards Company assets.
