1. Basic Computer Awareness Training in HP WOW Bus
The HP WOW Bus project caters to children, youth and other needy section of the society by providing digital literacy. At Roorkee currently Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) is conducting a basic Computer Awareness training at Mandawar, a village near the Company's facility for all the school & college students and other young people from the community. HP WOW Bus currently moves in Gee Saidpur village and caters to the children in that community. JBF has targeted one government school in Gee Saidpur village. Each batch undergoes a 1-month training workshop to increase Computer awareness. In the month of May 2022 a total of 39 students in 2 batches benefitted from this training.

2. World NO Tobacco Day
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation's Roorkee team on May 31st 2022 celebrated and conducted an awareness session on 'World No Tobacco Day' in a government school in Chauli village. The children of the school were shown an educational video on harmful effects of tobacco. The children had also prepared speech and slogans on World No Tobacco Day. On the second day, a session like expression through comics was conducted. Children were taught to depict their important event/ memories through comics. It was a very interesting and impactful session for the youth.
On the third day, felicitation of the Muskaan Fellows Batch 2022-23 was conducted. Both Muskaan Fellows Anchal and Swati contributed immensely to this fellowship by conducting academic classes and value lessons for the underprivileged children in the community. These fellows also evolved well in terms of their own personalities. It is important to give recognition and appreciation for due performance.


3. World Environment Day celebration in HP WOW Bus Project
World Environment Day was celebrated on June 4th, 2022 in HP WOW bus. A drawing competition was organized for all students enrolled in the computer awareness classes. The theme for the competitions was 'Planet Earth our Mother Earth'. The children very beautifully drew their thoughts on paper. JBF team selected the best three drawings and awarded them with chocolates. The children also said few lines on how they would work on saving the environment in their own small ways at home, their neighborhood and community level. They put up various new ideas on how they would inspire others to be environment friendly in their lifestyle.
It was very overwhelming to see that these young children have such progress

1. Dustbin Distribution in Government Schools in Nanjangud
Under the Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan campaign, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation donated 240 dustbins to 27 Government schools of Nanjungud on June 1st, 2022. This initiative will help the children in maintaining cleanliness in their school premises.


2. Muskaan core committee Meeting

Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has always laid maximum importance on the development of the education sector. With this background on May 26th, 2022 JBF organized a Muskaan core committee meeting at Korehundi School. Muskaan core committee includes the Head master and Mistress of 10 Government schools which are near the Nanjungud facility. In the meeting development works in schools were discussed and JBF received the requests from school authority to conduct other development works.
3. World on Wheels project

In order to encourage and support digital literacy in rural areas of Nanjangud, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started its World on Wheels project. Through this project JBF is providing computer knowledge to rural primary school children and youths. In the month of May JBF had given training on basic computer to 529 students of five Govt., school children.
4. Inauguration of e-Muskaan digital Learning project at UGHPS Debur
In order to support digital literacy in rural government schools of Nanjangud, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the e-Muskaan digital learning project at Nanjangud. The e-Muskaan digital learning project class room was inaugurated at the upgraded Govt., higher primary school Debur by Mr. P Nataraj, Director -engineering Jubilant Generics Limited, Nanjangud, Mr. Ravi Kumar. B, Senior Manager, Human Resource Dept., Jubilant Generics Limited, Nanjangud. Mr.C N Raju, Block Education officer, Nanjangud. Mr. Nandan. S Deputy Manager-EHS Dept., Jubilant Generics Limited, Nanjangud, Mr. Deepak. S, Deputy Manager-Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J, Assistant manager -CSR and Muskaan school co coordinators and school teachers and HMs where present in the program.



5. Drawing Competition.
JBF organized the drawing competition for 4th to 8th standard school children on the occasion of World Environment Day on 4th and 5th of Jun'2022 at all 10 Govt. Muskaan schools. JBF had given the environment related topics for drawing competition to students. All students enthusiastically participated in the drawing competition and JBF planned a prize distribution ceremony after completing all activities in all 10 Muskaan schools. Total 529 students participated the drawing competition.


6. Celebration of World Environmental Day
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organized the World Environment Day on June 5, 2022 in all Muskaan schools with various activities such as Drawing Competition, Awareness programs and tree plantations during the month of June.
This year on 10th Jun'2022 JBF planted six saplings in the school premises at Govt. Schools in GHPS, Debur. The program started with prayer by school children and Mrs.Radhika the Head mastress welcomed the guests.
On 10th June 2022 prize distribution ceremony was organized at the Govt., HPS Debur in a programme for those who are won in the drawing competition held before. 7. Inauguration of Library at Skill Development and Vocational Training center, Nanjangud.
In order to develop the skills of youths of Nanjungud Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the skill development and vocational training center at Nanjungud in the year 2008. Every day more than 100 candidates are trained in different trades in this center. In order to properly utilize the student's free time, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation also started a library inside the center. This library was inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Prakash, Vice president & Head - CSR on 11th June, 2022. During the programme the CSR team and SD&VTC staff and students were present.
8. Distributed T Shirts to Tuber Culosis warriors(Volunteers).
Tuberculosis disease has been on a rise post Covid-19 lockdown. The disease has increased 19% in India. So as a socially responsible organization, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation joined hands towards an 'End TB campaign'. with the Government of India. Under this campaign Jubilant Bhartia foundation selected 33 youth volunteers to spread awareness in Nanjangud. For the selected volunteers TB Awareness session was organized and Mr. Vivek Prakash, Vice president & Head -CSR addressed the session and explained the importance of this campaign and distributed T-Shirts & diary for the volunteers. During the programme CSR team and SD&VTC Staff and students were present.

9. Road work at Kallahalli village
Acting on the request from the villagers of Kallahalli, Jubilant Bhartia foundation constructed a concrete road and drainage work at the Kallahalli village. This road concreate work will be completed by the end of June 2022.


10. Open GYM at Kallahalli village
Under the rural development initiatives of the Company, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation has been constructing an open Gym at Kallahalli and Nanjangud. This project will help youth and senior citizens of the Kallahalli village in staying fit.


11. Skill development and Vocational training center
With the intention to increase employability in the community, several training courses were initiated at the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation's Skill Upgradation Center, Vilayat and Bharuch. The initiative intends to give training in skill sets like tailoring, Beautician competencies, basic IT skills, soft skills and supply chain and logistics management for sustainable livelihood generation. JBF finished a batch of trainees in various courses in April. Below is the snapshot of the training outcomes:


12. Soap oil and phynil training
At Savli, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation team has facilitated Self Help Groups (SHGs) to start their own enterprise. The Neem Livelihood program focuses on environment based livelihoods and women empowerment. Under this initiative the Neem Pulverization unit is a project run by a Self-Help Group of women, facilitated by JBF. To maintain and uplift the quality of this enterprise, this month JBF conducted a series of quality control visits and made various changes in this process. As a result, the women are now more professionally equipped to handle production of Neem Powder.
