New batches of HP Computer classes in Dada Patty
HP WOW (World on Wheels) bus which has been operating since months with an aim to support digital literacy in rural areas has started 3 new batches in Dada Patty Government School. A total of 50 students from classes VIth to VIIIth got enrolled in these batches.
The batches will cover the basis computer courses like Microsoft Word, Paint, Excel and PowerPoint. Practical classes helped the students with hands on learning.

Health Camp in School of Mandawar
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) in partnership with LIC HFL (through its Health Aarogya project) conducted a health camp on 13th February 2023 in Mandawar village. Total 70 students were benefitted in this camp in which the basic routine check-up was done. The students were also given a Health card to record the check-up results and to also keep a track of health progress.

WeMentorship Program
On 16th February 2023, JBF in partnership with Head Held High Foundation (training partner) conducted the WeMentorship classes in Roorkee. 20 girls from B.Pharma, D.Pharma background were selected from different colleges in Bhagwanpur. These colleges are in the vicinity of Jubilant plants. The session was conducted by Mrs. Sapna from Head Held High Foundation.


2326 OPDs conducted by the Mobile health camp
JBF keeps coming with various initiatives that aims towards the betterment of the society. Mobile health camps is one such attempt which is widening its reach and covering every section of the locality. In February, a total of 2326 OPDs were conducted in Roorkee across 15 villages. The rural population is becoming more aware about this project and spreading the word of mouth. The drive has seen many satisfied faces who availed the benefits of the provided through the mobile dispensary.

180 OPDs in the Skin Camp
A skin camp was organised on 12th February in collaboration with Dr. Priyanka Arya who runs her clinic called Divya Skin and Hair clinic in Roorkee. A total of 180 OPDs were conducted in which thorough check up and diagnosys was done.

Jubicare Project
Jubicare Project aims towards providing a better health facilities to the rural villages nearby Jubilant plant locations. This is a tele–medicine platform where the patients are treated on telephone. The patients call the doctor on a given number and discuss their health conditions. Under Jubicare project, 1152 patients in Nanjangud location have been benefitted till now.



HIV/AIDS Awareness Program
JBF organised an HIV/AIDS awareness program on 18th January for the contractual workers of the company in association with State Aids Prevention Society team of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysore & Community Health Centre, Nanjangud taluka.
BP, Sugar, HIV/AIDS tests were conducted on 143 workers. Total 500 contractual workers participated.
The program saw presence of Mr. Sunderganesh S, VP & Site Head, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Mr.Subrahmanya A, DirectorHR, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Dr. Sripathi V Aithal, CMO, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Dr. Tejas Chandra, Community Medical officer, Dr.Shabuddin, CMO - Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysore, Mr. Prashanth, Ms. Lakshmi, Mr. Rafiq, Mr.Narsimha, all from Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysore. From JBF , Mr. Srinivas, Union Secretary Jubilant Pharmova Limited and OHC staff were present during the awareness session.




TB Awareness Program
As a socially responsible organisation, JBF started the ‘No TB Campaign’ in association with the Government Health Department of Nanjangud. As a part of the campaign, JBF organised a TB awareness session for Govt. Degree College students on 30st of Jan 2023. The session was headed by Mr. Deepak, Manager –Jubilant Bhartia Foundation. There were a total of 31 volunteers in this session.

Leprosy Day Awareness Program
JBF organised the Leprosy day awareness session at SD&VTC on 31st of January 23. Mr. Sajjan Rav Bogade, Block Health Education Officer, Taluka Health Dept., Nanjangud,
Mr. C.S Yadhugirish, Health Supervisor, Taluka Health Dept., Nanjangud and CSR staffs was present during the session. Total 60 candidates participated in this session.


Republic Day Celebrations
Republic day was celebrated on 26th January ‘23 across all the schools in and around the plant. This was done in association with Education Department, SDMC, School Administration, Gram Panchayat Members and the Village Leaders.
JBF conducted various competitions for the 10 Muskaan school students and distributed prizes to the winners. Along with this, the special Prathibha Puraskar were given to the selected best students who scored highest marks. 75 students from 10 Muskaan Schools were given the prestigious Prathibha Puraskar for exemplary performances.


World on Wheels Project
In order to support digital learning, JBF has started World on Wheels (WOW) project. This drive covered 11 schools and trained 580 Government School kids in the month of Jan. and Feb.

Birthday Celebrations for Muskaan School Kids
Celebrating the birthdays of Muskaan School children is one of the regular activities that is eagerly awaited by the students. The birthday kids are called on the stage during the morning assembly and books are given as a gift from JBF. Along with this, the names are displayed on the notice board on their birthday. This is an effort to make the kids feel special and give an everlasting memory.

Senior Citizen Felicitation Program
JBF organised felicitation program for the senior citizen for all the precious knowledge, life lessons and experiences they impart to us. They need to be valued and respected in this day and age when you keep hearing news of them being ignored or abandoned.
JBF felicitated the Senior Citizens on 27th January at Korehundi School in association with Muskaan Committee. Program started with the prayer by students and a preamble speech by Mrs. Radhika, Head Mistress, Korehundi School. There was also a welcome speech by Mrs. Lalitha, Asst. Teacher, Korehundi School.
Mrs. Lakshmanamma, Mrs. Mahadevamma, Mrs. Gowramma, Mrs. Kariyamma & Mr. Nagaraj took out time to spend it with school kids and even narrated moral stories. The main attraction of the program was the felicitation ceremony in which the Senior Citizens were graced with traditional garland, shawl, umbrella and fruits.
Other than the mentioned CSR staff members, Muskaan Core Committee co-ordinators, Leaders of Muskaan School, HMS were present during the program.

Annual Day Celebration at Korehundi School
As a part of Muskaan Project by JBF, the Annual Day function was celebrated at Korehundi School on 27th January to encourage the children from Government Schools and inculcate a competitive spirit in them. JBF provides assistance to schools not only to augment their infrastructure but also promote participation in the extra-curricular activities. Students should be well prepared for excelling in studies as well as extra-curricular activities.
The Inauguration program was witnessed by Mr. Ravi Kumar B, Senior Manager-HR, Industrial Relations, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud. Mr. Raghavender D. Rao, Director-Analytical Research, Analytical Development-API-NNJ, Jubilant Pharmova Limited.
Mr. Adarsha Nidhi.J, Assistant Manager,JBF-CSR, Mr.Vinay Raje Urs, CSR-JBF, Mr.Madesha, SDMC President, Municipality Members & SDMC Members were present during the program. This was followed by the Prathiba Puraskar distribution to the meritorious students who scored well in exams as well as excelled in the sports competition.



Orientation session for WeMentorship candidates
For the upliftment of women in the manufacturing sector, JBF in association with Head High Held Foundation started a unique project called ‘WeMentorship’. The main objective of this program is to train and educate up to 20 young women on yearly basis with modern age techniques, career guidance and counselling so that they can have a secure future. The 20 female students were selected from SGM Polytechnic College , Devanoor. The orientation program was organised on 30th January. Mr. Harinath Dinkar, Training Excellence Manager, Head High Held Foundation, conducted the orientation program. Also present were Mr. Deepak.S, Manager, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Ankappa. Principal, SGM Polytechnic College, Devanoor, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J, Assistant Manager & Mr. Vinay Raje Urs Field Officer, JBF, Mr. Ravi, Resource mobilizer and other teaching staff.


Muskaan Fellowship Project
In order to bring youth leaders in the front and imbibe the importance of social responsibility among them, JBF in association with Pravah Organisation came up with Muskaan Fellowship Project. 25 youths are selected and trained in Nanjangud called Muskaan Fellows. They further give free classes to nearly 750 students from 25 schools.


Skill Development and Vocational Training at Nanjangud
In the year 2008, JBF established Skill Development and Vocational Training centre at Nanjangud. Till date, JBF has trained more than 15000 students in the centres. The training given covers various skills like basic computer, tally, DTP, Internet, Web designing, beautician, tailoring, kuchhu, mehndi designing, soap oil, phenyl making etc.


Community Interface meeting at Kallahalli
JBF organised the community interface meet at Kallahalli village on 18th January ‘23. Mr. Lingaraju, Mr. Ravi, Mr. Shrikanta, Mr. Javaranajaya and Mr. Suresh Raje Urs from Kallahalli village and CSR Staff were present during the meeting.
It saw discussions on the rural development activities in the village.

Interaction Sessions of farmers with Jubilant Consumers Team
JBF puts maximum focus towards the growth and development of agriculture sector in India. Everyone knows that Agriculture is the backbone of India. To strengthen the farmers of Nanjangud, JBF in association with Jubilant Consumers provides market linkage to the farmers. Jubilant Consumers requires more than 100 tons of vegetables per day therefore JBF has selected 30 farmers to grow required vegetable and earn profits. To understand the opportunity and answer queries, JBF organised interaction session with Jubilant Consumer’s officials and farmers on 14th Feb. ’23.

Donation of Computers to Police Dept., Nanjangud
JBF donated 6 computer systems to Nanjangud Police Dept. (2 No’s each for DYSP Office, Nanjangud Rural Police Station, Nanjangud Traffic Police Station). The event had presence of Mr. Subrahmanya, A, Director, HR Dept., Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud, Mr. Deepak.S, Manager, CSR, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J, Assistant Manager-CSR. Mr. Pradeep Kumar, NS Senior Executive –Public Relations, Mr. Ravi, Resource Mobilizer, were present.



WeMentorship Program
In order to promote gender equality at the workplace and to provide exposure in the industrial sector, JBF in association with Head Held High started WeMentorship program in Nanjangud. JBF selected 20 female Diploma students from SGM Polytechnic College, Devanoor.
JBF conducted an eighty hours sessions that included 21st century skills, career guidance counselling sessions. The certificate and T-shirt distribution program was organised on 10th March ’23 for the 20 WeMentorship students. During the program Mr. Ankappa, Principal, SGM Polytechnic, Mr.Deepak.S, Manager –CSR, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Harinath Dinakar, Training Excellence Manager, Head Held High Foundation, Mr. Periyal, HOD, Mechanical Dept., SGM Polytechnic, Mrs. Rani, Professor, Mechanical Dept,. SGM Polytechnic, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J Assistant Manager–CSR, Mr. Vinay Raje Urs, Field Officer –CSR, Mr. Ravi, Resource Mobilizer were present in the program.




Soochnaprenuer Project
In order to support women entrepreneur and self-employment in rural India, JBF in association with Digital Empowerment Foundation began Soochnaprenuer project at Nanjangud. Under this program, JBF picks 10 women from the rural areas and training is provided by Digital Empowerment Foundation. Post training, the selected women will start a common service centre in their respective villages. In the month of Feb and March this year, total 10 Soochnaprenuer service points were started in Nagarle, Devnooru, Siddainahundi, Sindhuvalli, Hullahalli, Kathwadipura, Hanumanapura, Thondawadi, Rampura and Thoremaavu. During the inauguration program Mr. Deepak. S, Manager, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Mahesh, District Co-ordinator–Soochnaprenuer Project, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J, Assistant Manager & Mr. Vinay Raje Urs, Field Officer, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Ravi, Resource Mobilizer and Gram Panchayat were present.




Road Safety Awareness Program at SD&VTC, Nanjangud
JBF organised the road safety awareness program on 24the Feb. ‘23 in association with Traffic Police Dept. Nanjangud. The above said program had presence of Mr. Naganayaka. C, Police Constable, Traffic Police Station, Nanjangud, Mr. Sandesh S, Police Constable, Traffic Police Station, Nanjangud. Total 70 students participated in the session.




Training Program on Muskaan Science Lab
JBF organised training for 26 Govt. School Teachers (VIIth – Xth grade) in association with Agastya International Foundation at SD&VTC, Nanjangud. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Sripathi V Aithal, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Mr. Mahesh, Block Resource Co-ordinator, Education Dept., Mr. Ananth Nag, Manager, Academic Agastya International Foundation, Mr. Venkatesh, Mr. Sudhakar, Senior Facilitator, Academic- Agastya International Foundation, Mr. Deepak, Manager-CSR, Mr. Adarsha J Nidhi, Assistant Manager-CSR Dept. and SD&VTC staff.
The training program focused on 4 major subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and EVS. At the end, all the participant teachers were given the certificates and t-shirts.
