Activity 1: Health check-up by mobile dispensary in 15 villages
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) in partnership with LIC Housing Finance organised mobile clinic in 15 villages of Bhagwanpur block in Roorkee. The clinic on the go conducted health check-ups, facilitated free consultation by MBBS doctors.
By the end of November, a total of 2003 OPDs were conducted.

Activity 2: Dengue awareness session in Gee Saidpur Government School
The rise of dengue cases in India has been a cause of concern. In Roorkee too, many cases have been reported. Due to this the attendance of children in schools has also dropped. There are regular complaints of students having symptoms of dengue like fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, aches and pain etc.
To create awareness among the students a session was conducted with the support of the medical team in government school, Gee Saidpur village. The topics covered were - cause of dengue, types of dengue causing mosquito breeds, symptoms, precautions etc. This was a very relevant and an informative session for the students.


Activity 3: HP Life certification course in Roorkee
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with HP India is facilitating diverse certification courses in various subjects. In November itself the number of enrolled students was 200. The courses are very much beneficial and relevant such as Communication Skills, Leadership Skills, Entrepreneurship, Presentation Skills and much more. The courses are also available in Hindi which makes the content easy to understand and convenient for rural students.

Activity 4: A grand health camp in Roorkee
On 27th November 2022, JBF in collaboration with Jagannath - Mother and Bone Specialty Hospital organised a health camp in Roorkee for general public. With a nominal registration charge of Rs. 20 per individual the camp saw great footfall making this activity a huge success. BP check, sugar test, haemoglobin tests was done free of cost. Digital x-rays were provided at a minimum cost of Rs. 150, physiotherapy sessions for Rs 50 only. A total of 197 OPDs were conducted on the given day.



Activity 5: Women hygiene awareness at a school in Khubbanpur village, Bhagwanpur
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation strongly believes in women empowerment and always aims towards contributing to it. Proper healthcare uplifts the society therefore it requires special attention for the overall development of community particularly women in the rural areas/villages. Menstruation is still considered a taboo and not spoken much about, especially in rural areas. Hence it leads to several health issues like infections due to wrong hygiene practices, misconceptions, fear, hesitation etc.
Therefore to bring awareness among girls, JBF organised an awareness session on menstrual health and regular hygiene. The session saw a lot of queries being answered regarding menstruation, do’s and don’ts of menstrual hygiene practice, avoiding hesitations if any. Towards the end, 2 packets of sanitary pads were distributed to all the girls.


Activity 6: HP WOW bus computer course in Roorkee
HP WOW bus is an innovative concept under which digital courses are made easily accessible to the community especially the government school children who do not have any access to computers or laptops. In the month of November, 40+ students got registered in Bhagwanpur block, Roorkee for the computer courses. These students were taught the basics of computer and exposed to various practical modules. At present, HP WOW bus is doing this noble cause in Khubbanpur village.

Activity 7: Soochnapreneur project kick-started in Roorkee
JBF in partnership with Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) has implemented the Soochnapreneur project. Under this initiative JBF and DEF will be empowering women from the community by digitally educating them and supporting them to open common service centres through which they will be able to generate income for themselves. This will not only empower women but will also instil confidence in them to earn their own livelihoods.


Activity 8: ‘WeMentorship’ Scholarship program
‘WeMentorship’ Scholarship program aims to support 120 girls across India pursuing diploma in the field of sciences. The mobilisation and application process is ongoing in Roorkee. JBF organised introductory sessions to create awareness and answer questions regarding the scholarship program in six colleges. The program received an encouraging number of applications from these colleges.

Activity 9: World Aids Day at Jubilant manufacturing facility, Roorkee
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised an awareness drive on HIV/AIDS at all the manufacturing facilities of Jubilant. Red ribbon symbolising awareness and support for people living with HIV was given to employees to maintain solidarity with people infected with HIV/AIDS. The general awareness around the myths, symptoms, protection etc. were spread that saw great participation.

World AIDS day
1st December 2022 was World AIDS Day and team Jubilant celebrated the cause like every year at its manufacturing facilities. The JBF team distributed pamphlets and red ribbons to all employees, contract labourers and skill development and vocational training centre students.







JUBICARE Project – Providing quality medical care
In order to provide better basic health facilities to rural villages around Jubilant manufacturing facilities, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) started the JUBICARE project. JUBICARE is a tele–medicine platform where the patient receives the treatment through a phone call by calling the doctor. Under JUBICARE, JBF provided medical facilities to 994 patients at Nanjangud.


TB awareness program at Govt. College, Nanjangud
As a socially responsible organisation, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with Govt. Health Department executed the ‘End TB’ Campaign. Under the campaign, JBF organised TB awareness sessions in Govt. First Grade Degree College, Nanjangud. The session was headed by Dr. Tejas Chandra, JBF, Community Medical Officer, Nanjangud. During the program a TB awareness presentation was given to the students. Also present were Dr. Sripathi V Aithal CMO - Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud, Mr. Ramegowda, Principal, Govt., First grade Degree College, Nanjangud. Mr. Sajjan Rao, Block Health Education Officer, Govt., Health Dept., Nanjangud. Mr. Rajesh, Counsellor-ICDC, Mr. Suresh Supervisor - TB Dept., Government Health Department, Nanjangud, Mrs. Renuka Bai, Assistant Professor, Commerce Dept., Dr. Madevaprasad, Assistant Professor, Mr. Shivaswamy, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Kannada ,Govt., First Grade College Nanjangud, Mr. Deepak.S. Manager - CSR, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J - Assistant Manager - CSR & Mr. Vinay Raje Urs, field officer – CSR and other college teaching and non-teaching faculty. A total of 160 people benefitted from the campaign. During the program, certificates were given and bags were distributed to those volunteers who completed their task in six months. During the program 10 TB volunteers were honoured for their service in creating awareness in their native villages.







VITTOR Health Project – Ensuring good health for all
Health is wealth for all’, but unfortunately access to proper health facilities has been a challenge for rural India. Hence, as a socially responsible organisation, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with VITTOR health sciences started the VITTOR health project at Nanjangud. This project was officially launched on 20th October 2022 at Govt. Higher Primary School, Halladakeri by Mr. Sunder Ganesh, Vice President & Unit Head of Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud and Mr. Subramanya. A, Director Human Resource, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud. During the program, Mr. Deepak. S. - Manager, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, Mr. Pradeep Kumar N S. - Senior Executive Public Relations, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J - Assistant Manager CSR & Mr. Vinay Raje Urs - Field Officer CSR, school teachers and SDMC members were present Total beneficiaries from this project were 1638.



IVRS Project – Keeping women healthcare a priority
To provide health awareness to pregnant women of Nanjangud, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the IVRS project at Nanjangud taluka with the support of Women and Child Welfare Department, Nanjangud. Under this project, the required data of pregnant women gets uploaded on the IVRS app and every week pregnant women will receive a voice recorded health awareness information about pregnancy and baby care. Total 197 pregnant women were registered under this project.


Essay writing Competition:
As a part of Muskaan activity calender, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised essay writing competition at 10 Muskaan schools where a total of 415 participants showcased their writing skills.

General knowledge competition at Muskaan schools
As the saying goes – ‘Education is an important tool to eradicate all kinds of social evils in the society’, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation greatly focuses on the development of education sector at all Jubilant’s manufacturing facilities. In Nanjangud, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation through its Muskaan project supports 10 government schools. Every month JBF keeps organising events for school kids. In September 2022, JBF organised a General Knowledge competition at all 10 Muskaan schools that saw participation from total 458 students.

Muskaan fellowship
In order to build a strong foundation for youth leaders of the nation and to nurture the importance of social responsibility among them, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in association with Pravah organisation started the Muskaan fellowship project. Under this project, 25 youth are selected and trained. These trained 25 Muskaan fellows are now giving free classes to nearly 750 students from 25 schools.

On 15th September 2022, JBF Muskaan mobile science lab was officially inaugurated by Mr. Giuliano Perfetti, CEO – CRDMO, Jubilant Biosys Limited and Mr. R Kumar, President - Pharma & Head - API, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Mr. Sunderganesh - Vice President & Unit Head, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud & Mr. Subrahmanya. A – HR Head, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud, Mr. Narayan Kumar. S - Senior Director and Site Head – Quality, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud. Also present were other departmental heads during the program.





Joy of Giving initiative
Under the Joy of Giving activity, Mr. Harish. S, Manager-Planning, Unit HO, Jubilant Pharmova Limited, Nanjangud donated 8 varieties of playing items to Kallahalli anganawadi children. This was much appreciated by the staff and children were seen brimming with joy.







Speech & Poem recitation competition at Muskaan schools
As a part of the Muskaan monthly calendar Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised a speech & poem recitation competition at 10 Muskaan schools. From Ist standard to VIIIth standard all ten Muskaan school children actively participated. A total 943 students benefitted from this activity.
Muskaan Core committee meeting at UGHPS Debur
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation organised Muskaan core committee meeting at UGHPS Debur on 22nd September 2022. Muskaan core committee includes all 10 Muskaan school headmasters and headmistresses in Nanjangud. In the meeting JBF received several requests for infrastructural developmental work at schools. The meeting also included deliberations on the plan for next month.

Distribution of Tie-Belts to Muskaan school students
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation distributed tie & belts to all the 10 Muskaan school children in Nanjangud. JBF through its Muskaan project assures that no government school children are left behind in any aspect of learning when compared with private school children.

Distribution of rack shelves in Muskaan schools
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation donated 20 rack shelves to 10 Muskaan schools for proper storage and maintenance of students’ files and documents.

Farewell of beloved Head Mistress
Ms. Nagarathnama, Headmistress Higher Primary School, Debur retired from the service on 30th September 2022. Hence to honor her valuable services to the developmental works in the school, JBF & Muskaan core committee honoured Ms. Nagarthnamma on 22nd September 2022 at UGHPS Debur. In this program Mr. Chinnanwamy - Head Master, Geekahalli, Mrs. Radhika. B.R - Head Mistress, Korehundi School, Mr. Deepak. S - Manager CSR - Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and Mr. Adarsha Nidhi J - Assistant Manager CSR, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation and all the 10 Muskaan school headmasters and teachers were present.

JUBIFARM Project Chapter – 3
Agriculture is the backbone of Indian economy and more than 40% of the population depends upon Agri related activities. However, it is not the preferred choice of livelihood in India. Though we are mostly dependent on the agricultural products coming from the farmers, we hardly show any respect towards them. Hence as a socially responsible organisation and to strengthen the farmers, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation started the Jubifarm Project under which 100 fruit saplings are distributed to the farmers free of cost. When plants are fully grown and ready to bear fruits it becomes a source of income for the farmers to earn their livelihood. Till now this distribution activity saw participation from 400 farmers in 17 villages in and around Nanjangud.




NEEM Project
The NEEM project was envisaged to support rural women around Jubilant’s manufacturing facilities by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation. Through the project, JBF identified and selected 25 rural women farmers in Nanjangud and donated 300 neem saplings. For next 2 years every month these women farmers would be given stipend for the care and maintenance of these neem saplings. After 2 years when saplings are fully grown to a tree, JBF will purchase the neem leaves & seeds from the women farmers at a fixed price and use them to prepare natural Colin.


Skill Development and Vocational Training center at Nanjangud
In the year 2008, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation established the Skill Development and Vocational Training Center at Nanjangud. So far through SDVTC and JBF has provided skill-based training to more than 15,000 students. JBF is providing basic computer knowledge, tally, DTP, internet web designing, beauty-related sessions, tailoring, Kuchhu training, mehndi designing, soap oil and phenyl making etc.
The total admissions under this training program have been 254.
