Code Of Conduct

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

Jubilant is committed to build a ‘sexual-harassment free safe workspace’ at all its offices and locations globally. Gender sensitive and harassment free workspaces not only create a congenial work environment and contribute to the overall culture and growth of the organisation but also contribute to an employee’s mental health and overall wellbeing. Jubilant as an organisation has zero tolerance towards sexual harassment of any kind.

In India, under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act applicable by law, Jubilant has adopted the POSH at Workplace policy to provide a safe working environment for all its employees and stakeholders. Jubilant’s POSH policy is designed to enable employees to work without fear of gender bias and sexual harassment. The policy through its guidelines ensures that sexual harassment is prevented and addressed promptly and effectively to create a safe, cordial and respectful working environment for all employees.

Complaint Mechanism under the POSH at Workplace policy

What is ICC and its responsibilities?

An ‘Internal Complaints Committee (the ‘ICC’)’ has been created by the Company to address complaints made by the aggrieved person.

It enforces strict disciplinary actions against offenders. They are responsible for receiving and investigating complaints, conduct enquiries and recommend appropriate actions. The ICC is also responsible for maintaining confidentiality and ensuring that the complainant is not victimised or retaliated against in any way.

The committee is composed of representatives from management, HR, legal and employees who are trained in handling complaints of sexual harassment.

The ICC is responsible for:

  • Addressing complaints, conduct awareness training sessions
  • Investigating every formal written complaint of sexual harassment, consistent with local laws and in a prompt and fair manner.
  • Taking appropriate remedial measures to respond to any substantiated allegations of sexual harassment.
  • Discouraging and preventing employment-related sexual harassment.
  • Writing reports relating to the sexual harassment complaints received by it.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of the process.

Awareness emailers, articles and posters are shared and displayed from time to time on our policy aspects so that employees are cognizant of the policy guidelines as well as their own rights and responsibilities.

Jubilant empowers its employees to voice their opinions and complaints at workplace to develop a welcoming, friendly and a respectful work culture.
