HP WOW Computer Awareness Classes in Dada Patty, Roorkee
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) in partnership with HP Wonder on Wheels (WOW) aims towards making the kids digital ready. Under this project, 24 students (Class VIIIth, Class IXth) from Govt. High School, Dada Patty got benefitted this month.
The course module covers basic knowledge of computer applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Towards the end, a pre-assessment and post-assessment test is conducted to understand the level of knowledge attained.
Digital Literacy for the Adults in Hassanpur, Roorkee
JBF firmly believes there is no right age to attain knowledge and one must be open to learning throughout their lives. This is evident in Hassanpur village where two batches with a strength of 30 adults were completed. The attendees started their journey towards digital literacy which will will be of great help to them. The course module covered the basic knowledge of MS applications.
Yojana Camp in Gee Saidpur Village, Roorkee
Under the banner of project Soochnapreneur, JBF in partnership with the Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) organised a Yojana camp in Gee Saidpur village, Roorkee. Soochnapreneur Radhika headed the camp and awareness sessions were conducted on Government schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, Old Pension Scheme and other Govt. schemes. The Pan Card application forms were also filled up. Total 13 individuals attended and benefitted from this camp. Soochnaprenenur Radhika also garnered an income of Rs. 1600 in this camp which also boosted the morale of everyone present
Health Camp in School at Chhapur Village, Roorkee
JBF in partnership with LIC HFL organised a school health camp in Chhapur village, Roorkee. A total of 92 students benefitted from this camp. Dental check, basic hygiene test, skin and stomach related tests were conducted for the students and also healthy practices were taught.

Jubicare App Spreads its Wings
As the saying goes – ‘Health is Wealth’. JBF has been very actively contributing towards providing a health platform that is useful for common people. JBF launched an app called Jubicare. Through this app people are availing free OPD services at Kallahalli and Debur village. The March month saw 745 patients getting benefitted from this.
Celebration of World TB Day
JBF organised an awareness session on the occasion of World TB Day at Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre on 24 March 2023. JBF started iits ‘No TB Campaign’ in association with the Government Health Department of Nanjangud. JBF is making all sincere efforts to mark an end on TB. The above said program saw presence of Mr. Sajjan Rao Bogade, Block Health Education Officer, Taluka Health Department, Nanjangud. The session had a total of 90 beneficiaries.
Celebration of World Health Day
JBF organised a free Diabetes camp on the occasion of World Health Day (7 April 2023) at JBFMC Kallahalli and JBF Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre, Nanjangud.
The drive witnessed participation of 152 beneficiaries.
In order to provide the basic health facilities at the doorsteps of citizens and also to create self-employment options for the rural women, JBF in association with Vittor started a health drive at Nanjangud. Under this project, JBF selected two women who will visit the nearby villages in and around Nanjangud to conduct 10 types of health tests. The test charges were kept very minimal (Rs.20) that encouraged more participation. Total beneficiaries from this drive were 229.
Donation Drive in the Muskaan Schools
JBF has been playing a critical role in supporting the educational institutions and providing the quality education to the students. The team conducted a drive at the Muskaan Schools in Nanjangud and handed over 10 computers and furniture items like desks, benches, tables, chairs, almirah, racks etc.
The Muskaan Fellowship
With an idea of identifying the future leaders from the youth and bringing them on a common platform, JBF in association with organization Pravah started the Muskaan Fellowships. JBF identified, selected and trained 25 youths from the nearby areas of Nanjangud. The team members further conducted classes for school students. Till date, 750+ students from 25 schools have been covered
Muskaan Core Committee Meeting at Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre
To review and assess the past and current activities, a meeting was organised for the Core committee members at JBF Skill Development and Vocational Training Center in Nanjangud. The team discussed on the learnings and the gaps identified and reviewed them together to decide on the corrective measures that needs to be taken. The committee brainstormed on the future initiatives planned for the Muskaan schools in Nanjangud.
Inauguration of Soochnaprenuer Center
Soochnapreneur common service centers were inaugurated at Hullahalli and Rampura in Nanjangud on 8th March 2023 to give a common platform and make the rural women self-independent and educate them on the Government welfare schemes. JBF in association with Digital Empowerment Foundation started the Soochnaprenuer project at Nanjangud. So far 10 Soochnapreneurs have joined this program at Nanjangud.

Presented Computers to Police Dept. of Nanjangud
JBF presented two computer systems to the office of Excise Inspector, Nanjangud. This is an effort to support them in the efficient administration of law and order. Also present were, Mr. Deepak – Manager, CSR, JBF, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, NS Senior Executive – Public Relations.
Skill Development and Vocational Training Center at Nanjangud
In 2008, JBF established the Skill Development and Vocational Training Center (SD & VTC) at Nanjangud. Till date, JBF has successfully trained more than 15,000 students at the SD & VTC. The students are provided training for several streams like basic computer knowledge, Tally, DTP, Internet, Web designing, beautician, tailoring, Kuchhu training, mehandi design, soapand phenyl making etc. In last one month the center witnessed 70 new admissions.
