HP WOW begins new classes in Dada Patty, Roorkee
The HP WOW Bus initiative of Jubilant Bhartia Foundation (JBF) aims at promoting digital literacy in the rural areas. As a part of the ongoing endeavor, three fresh batches were started in the Dada Patty Government School. The participating students are from classes VIth -VIIIth and the total strength is 45.
The students will be taught the basic computer courses like Microsoft applications (Word, Paint, Excel and PowerPoint).

HP WOW conducts ‘Adult Digital Literacy’ Drive in Hassanpur, Roorkee
The HP WOW bus started a new batch that aimed towards ‘adult digital literacy’ in Hassanpur village, Roorkee. This batch comprises of local youth and SHG members from the village. The batch has shown deep interest in computer learning due to which two batches are running in parallel. The batch has the strength of 30 people who are all geared up towards new learnings and bring a positive change in themselves and the locality.


Health Camp for School kids in Sikandarpur village, Roorkee
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with LIC HFL through their Health Aarogya project conducted a school health camp in January 2023. The basic health checkup was done for 50 students and health tips were given. A health card was also issued to each student to keep track of students’ health. This camp saw active participation from students and many interesting questions were answered as well.


Menstrual Health Camp for the Girl students in Govt. School
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation conducted menstrual health camp for adolescent girls in Govt. school in Hassanpur in January 2023. An awareness session on menstrual health and hygiene was conducted by Dr. Pooja Kumari. The students were given an opportunity to discuss their problems related to periods and menstrual concerns. Also, Dr. Kumari spoke about the importance of good health in today’s scenario. The girl students were given sanitary pads after the awareness session.

We Mentorship Programme launched in Roorkee
On February 1, 2023, Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in partnership with Head Held High Foundation (HHHF) launched the WeMentorship Programme in Roorkee. A total of 20 girls from B. Pharma and D. Pharma background were selected from the colleges present in the vicinity of Jubilant plant in Bhagwanpur.An orientation program was organised for the selected girls. The session was conducted by Mr. Gautam Dey from HHHF.

Road Safety Week at Jubilant Generics, Roorkee
Jubilant Bhartia Foundation in collaboration with Road Transport Department, Roorkee conducted an awareness session on road and traffic safety. This important session saw an attendance of over 100 employees. An interactive session and a quiz was also organised for all the employees.


Special Recognition award by Police Dept. of Haridwar
In January 2023, Police Department, Haridwar gave a special recognition award to Jubilant Bhartia Foundation for their good work and contribution towards providing safety awareness to all citizens. Police department made use of HP WOW bus to conduct awareness sessions on road safety in and around various check post. This was another milestone in the proud journey of JBF and motivated the team to continue the good work.

Inauguration of new CSC centres in Roorkee
In January 2023, two CSC centres under the ‘Soochnapreneur’ project were inaugurated. Soochnapreneur project aims towards promoting digital literacy and providing easy access to social security schemes. Soochnapreneurs from 10 different villages have been selected and trained as village level entrepreneurs (VLEs). These VLEs will be responsible for the operation of these CSC centres. They will devise programmes on income generation, awareness sessions on digital literacy and various benefits that the government offers.
